JULY 4TH means FIREWORKS if you live in the good old USA. As far back as I
can remember I have always enjoyed a Fireworks display. When I was about 10 or 11 I helped my Dad
sell soda at a display in Clayton,Mo. We were right on the fields edge at Francis Field, Washington
U. I could not imagine being any closer. Well last Sat. July 4,2009 I got about as close as you can
possiby get. Thanks to a friend I was able to take these photos of the crew. Rick, Mike and Mike
Jr. setting up the show for all to enjoy. It took them 6+ hours to set up a 16 minute show. Mike
told me it was like preparing Thanksgiving dinner. You start early in the morning just to watch it
devoured in just a few minutes. MY HATS off to these guys for a JOB WELL DONE.----BE SURE TO GO TO

Mike Sr. - the large gray shirt man in these photo, yes these shows are really a lot of work,
we start at 8am and we might get home around 1 or 2am but, when you get to the end of the day
and the show is about to begin, we get to standing underneath the show its really powerful and
increadable. Safty is are number one priority, we watch what we are doing along with watching
each other. We have to remember even the little 2" shell will take you hand off, most of the
time we are using 3, 4 and 5" shells all the time. safty, safty, safty. I've been shooting
shows for the last 10 years and I'm glad I have that little angel watching over me. I'm glad I
still have all my parts also. Please leave the big stuff to the professionals. Thanks Ted for
the excellent photos. We had fun that day didn't we.

It looks like a LOT of work! And I'm glad my brother (Rick) still has all his parts...the rest
of you too!
